The official name “NASA International Space Apps Challenge” refers to a global hackathon held on October 4–5, across more than 185 countries and regions worldwide. Participants use open data provided by NASA, JAXA, and other space agencies to propose unique solutions to challenges related to space and Earth, aiming to create innovative projects. The Tokyo session is planned to be a hybrid event, using both Zoom (a web conferencing service) and the Spatil(metaverse).
