Hace millones y millones de años los dinosaurios camparon a sus anchas por estas tierras del Principado de Asturias y nos dejaron su recuerdo en forma de icnitas. Su descubrimiento convirtió la costa de Colunga en referencia internacional para investigadores y turistas.

Situada en el concejo de Villaviciosa, es una  pequeña playa de arena blanca y grava en un entorno natural y flanqueada por acantilados . Se encuentra cerca del pueblo de Argüero. A solo medio kilómetro al oeste se encuentra un yacimiento de huellas de dinosaurio al que se llega a través de un camino que cruza los acantilados.
