From May 2017 to December 2020 I created a body of images for an Instagram project called "Electric Paintings". Every image was made the same way. I took a photograph of a white wall or surface, then cropped and manipulated that photograph in a number of editing applications. This pre-AI work was an experiment in generative image creation, sculpting images from filters and primitive shapes. A collection of those images can now be found here, in virtual reality.
